How it all started...
God has called Pivot Point to be a Church without walls. In our culture, we find that many are disappointed in the church as a whole. Many have been hurt by the church. Many do not agree with the dogma or doctrine of organized religion. Many who no longer attend a local church still consider themselves Christian even though they no longer have a church to call home. There is also a huge disconnect from support systems as many no longer live in the region that they grew up in; careers, friends, or adventures have pulled us away from our families. We are often living without deep roots as many of us have begun new lives in new areas without much connection to others. This is where Pivot Point comes in.
Pivot Point Church was born out of more than a desire to do church differently. It grew out of my own experiences of church hurt, disappointment, rejection, and doors that seemed to close when I believed God was calling me forward.
I know what it feels like to be overlooked, passed over, and abandoned by people I trusted. I know the pain of wanting to serve God and being told there was no place for me. As a woman called into ministry, I experienced doors being closed because I was a woman, even though I knew God had called me to preach and teach His Word.
Those experiences were painful, but they also helped shape my understanding of what the Church should be.
I began asking a different question: What would a church look like where people were welcomed rather than rejected? Where their gifts were encouraged rather than dismissed? Where questions were welcomed, relationships mattered, and people could grow in their faith without feeling they had to earn their place?
Through those experiences, I felt God calling me to begin Pivot Point Church. My husband, John, supported me as I stepped out in faith, and together we began building a ministry centered on helping people know Jesus and grow in relationship with Him.
We believe the Church should be a place where people encounter the love of Jesus, discover their God-given purpose, and find a community that walks alongside them. Not a place where everyone agrees on everything, but a place where we are united in Christ and committed to growing together.
The hurt we experienced helped us recognize a need, but it was God's calling—not our disappointment—that led to the beginning of Pivot Point Church.

We believe that the Church is more than a collection of individuals. We are members of one body, each with different gifts, experiences, and abilities, but united through our faith in Jesus Christ. No one person makes up the Church, and every person has something valuable to contribute. Together, we can accomplish far more than we ever could alone.
Pivot Point Church is an independent, non-denominational, online church made up of people who love Jesus and desire to help others know Him. We believe that following Christ is more than attending a service. It means living out our faith in our everyday lives, extending grace and forgiveness to others, acknowledging our own shortcomings, and encouraging one another to become more like Jesus.

THIS IS Pivot Point—We Are Family
God has placed a conviction at the very foundation of Pivot Point Church: we are called to find unity in our diversity, and no human-made barrier should keep anyone from encountering Jesus Christ.
We welcome people regardless of race, gender, sexuality, political beliefs, or previous religious affiliation. We recognize that everyone comes with different experiences, questions, struggles, and stories. We don't have to agree on everything to love one another, and we don't have to have everything figured out to begin growing in our relationship with God.

THIS IS Pivot Point— We Are There For You
We believe God calls us to be His hands and feet in the world around us. Whether it's our families, friends, coworkers, neighbors, or people we haven't met yet, we want to recognize the everyday opportunities God gives us to share His love. Sometimes that means telling someone about Jesus. Other times, it means listening, praying, encouraging, or simply being there when someone needs us.
One of our favorite examples of what the Church should look like is found in Luke 5:17–26. Some men were determined to bring their paralyzed friend to Jesus. When the crowd prevented them from getting through the door, they carried him onto the roof, made an opening, and lowered him down in front of Jesus.
Scripture tells us something remarkable: “When Jesus saw their faith, he said, ‘Friend, your sins are forgiven.’” (Luke 5:20, NIV)
Jesus noticed not only the man who needed help, but also the faith of the friends who brought him.
That's who we want to be at Pivot Point Church.
We want to be the kind of community that doesn't give up on people when life becomes difficult. We may not always get everything right, but we want to walk alongside you through the challenges, questions, disappointments, and victories of life.
We want to meet you where you are, encourage you as you grow, and help you draw closer to Jesus. And when the journey becomes too difficult to walk alone, we want to be the kind of friends who will help carry you.
Because sometimes the greatest expression of our faith is helping someone else get closer to Jesus.

We believe that true freedom is found through the saving grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Scripture reminds us:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” — John 3:16–17 (NIV)
We believe that we can do nothing to earn God's saving grace. Salvation is His gift, freely offered to everyone through Jesus Christ. But God has also given us the freedom to respond to His invitation. We must choose whether to receive or reject His forgiveness and grace.
SALVATION
Salvation begins when we recognize our need for a Savior, repent of our sins, and place our faith in Jesus Christ. Scripture tells us that all have sinned and fall short of God's glory (Romans 3:23). None of us is without fault, and none of us can save ourselves. But through Christ's sacrifice, we can receive forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and the promise of eternal life.
SANCTIFICATION
Salvation is the beginning of our new life in Christ, not the end of our spiritual journey. Through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit, God continues to transform our hearts, minds, and lives, enabling us to turn away from sin and grow in holiness.
We believe that God's grace not only forgives us but also empowers us to live differently. As we surrender to the Holy Spirit and grow in our relationship with Christ, we can experience increasing freedom from the power of sin and learn to live in obedience to God's Word.
This does not mean we will never struggle or stumble. It means we no longer have to face those struggles in our own strength. Christ living in us gives us the power to live a transformed and victorious life.

We also recognize that we have much to learn from one another. Across generations, backgrounds, and experiences, we encourage each other, share what God has taught us, and help one another grow into the people He has called us to be.
We believe that gathering together in worship, prayer, fellowship, and the study of God's Word is an essential part of Christian discipleship. Through the power of the internet, we can worship and learn together even when we are separated by miles. We also encourage connections through Pivot Groups, where believers can build meaningful relationships, share life together, and support one another through both joyful and difficult seasons.
Scripture reminds us that God has given His people different gifts and callings to prepare and equip the Church for works of service. Every believer has a place in the body of Christ and a role in helping others grow in faith.
Our desire is to develop disciples who don't simply attend church but actively follow Jesus, live out His teachings, and help others discover the life-changing relationship He offers.

We believe that God has given each of us a mission field, from our own homes and communities to the farthest reaches of the world. We are called to serve Him by living Christlike lives and generously sharing the time, talents, abilities, and resources He has entrusted to us.
We believe that giving is an important part of worship and Christian discipleship. Scripture teaches us to honor God with what we have received and to support the work of His Kingdom.
In Malachi 3:10, God calls His people to bring their tithes into the storehouse so that His work may be supported. A tithe represents ten percent of our income, and we teach tithing as a biblical principle of faithful stewardship and a regular commitment to supporting the ministry of the Church. Offerings are gifts given above and beyond the tithe to meet additional needs and support opportunities for ministry.
We also recognize that the New Testament calls believers to give willingly, generously, and cheerfully, according to what they have. Our giving should never be motivated by guilt, pressure, or the expectation of financial reward, but by our love for God, gratitude for His provision, and desire to participate in His work.
Through faithful giving, we help make it possible to share the Gospel, provide biblical teaching and discipleship resources, and extend Christ's love to people wherever they are. Whether we give our time, serve others, or contribute financially, we are participating in something greater than ourselves.
Jesus reminds us that where our treasure is, there our hearts will be also. Our generosity reflects what we value and our desire to place God's Kingdom first.
