How it all started...
God has called Pivot Point to be a Church without walls. In our culture, we find that many are disappointed in the church as a whole. Many have been hurt by the church. Many do not agree with the dogma or doctrine of organized religion. Many who no longer attend a local church still consider themselves Christian even though they no longer have a church to call home. There is also a huge disconnect from support systems as many no longer live in the region that they grew up in; careers, friends, or adventures have pulled us away from our families. We are often living without deep roots as many of us have begun new lives in new areas without much connection to others. This is where Pivot Point comes in.
THIS IS Pivot Point—We are Parts of a Whole
We believe in the common bond of membership in the church. Member—it’s a noun, meaning a part of a greater whole. A part of an organization that is much larger than any individual. We encourage all teens and adults attending on a regular basis to become members of Pivot Point Church. Through our unity we see great things happen.
Pivot Point is an independent non-denominational church. We are a group of individuals who love Jesus and desire to see others come to know Him, and we do this by living out our faith in all areas of our lives. We encourage members to be honest with themselves and others by confessing their shortcomings (sins) to each other and to Christ. We are a forgiving group and hold no shortcomings against others but encourage each other to seek Christ and to emulate Him in all areas (go and sin no more).
We are a place where no barriers exist that keep people from Christ. Where you are fully known, fully loved, and forgiven. A church without walls that can reach the world through the power of the internet. We want you to be connected both online and in a small, local group (if you want). It is through the regular meeting together that we can fully experience the life that Jesus died for us to have.
We want to develop followers who, in time, will know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, to help followers have a better understanding of their faith, create a solid belief system, and, in the end, see the world around them through the eyes of Jesus.

THIS IS Pivot Point—We Are Family
God has formed into the foundation of Pivot Point that we are to be unified in our diversity and that no barrier should exist to keep others from Christ. We welcome all regardless of race, gender, sexuality, political beliefs or previous religious affiliation. Our busy neighbors, co-workers, friends and family all share a desire for the peace, love, acceptance, and grace of our awesome God. We love them and accept them, struggles and all, with open arms into our fellowship. God has mandated that we incorporate Him into every aspect of our lives, and that we teach others to do the same. Our goal at Pivot Point is for each one of us to be fully known, fully loved, and forgiven.
“Not only was it recognized that God made “no distinction” between Jew and Gentile (Eph 2:14-18), but in the larger dimension of fellowship, every other artificial barrier to unity was broken down, whether of race, national origin, social and economic position, language, or sex. In the family of God, there was no Greek or barbarian, rich or poor, slave or free, male or female, but all were one in Christ ( Col 3:10-11,Gal 3:28)”

THIS IS Pivot Point— We Are There For You
We are God’s instruments, we connect to families, school friends, co-workers, senior adults, overwhelmed neighbors, and soon -to-be friends.. We are looking for the little moments in life to share who Christ and what he has done for us. We want to be a community which experiences God as he meets your needs. We pray for moments that we can reflect Christ to you. There is a wonderful Biblical example of who God has called Pivot Point to be.
“One day as he (Jesus) was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law, who had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem, were sitting there. And the power of the Lord was present for him to heal the sick. Some men came carrying a paralytic on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus. When Jesus saw THEIR faith, he said, ‘Friend, your sins are forgiven.’” Luke 5:17-26
This is who God has called us to be at Pivot Point. We won’t give up on you. We may stumble some along the way, but we want to make it through the entire journey with you. We will accept you for where you are, encourage you, walk with you, and if necessary—carry you on the journey.

THIS IS Pivot Point—We are Set Free
It is imperative that we believe and we live in the saving grace of our Lord and Savior. We must receive the scripture that reminds us in John 3:16, 17
“For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. FOR God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.” John 3:16, 17
We believe that we can do nothing on our own to earn this saving grace, BUT it is our decision, our choice, as to whether we choose to receive His forgiving grace.
SALVATION
Receiving God’s forgiveness for our sins. The scripture tells us that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. So, we aren’t alone in this journey. We aren’t the only ones that have messed up along the way.
SANCTIFICATION
It is through the sanctifying power of our Lord and Savior that the Holy Spirit is able to fill the believer, baptizing him/her in power, enabling them to engage in the process of freedom over the sinful nature that lives in us. Without salvation and sanctification we will live a life of discouragement and spiritual failure. Christ IN US, gives us power to live victorious lives.

THIS IS Pivot Point—We are on a Mission
We have wrapped up our mission into four simple words. Show, Know, Grow, Go. We actually find this specific mandate from God in Matthew 28:19, 20
“therefore GO (GO) and make disciples (KNOW) of all nations, baptizing (SHOW) them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (GROW). Matthew 28:19, 20
This scripture is the heart of what we do. There is so much more than simply saying a prayer. Our mission is to help develop believers into disciples who not only believe but are capable of showing others and who KNOW Christ. It is through this KNOWING that we are able to GO into the world and SHOW others. We gather weekly either online or also in person to follow the example given to us in Acts 2. It is through the shared experience that we can encounter the life-changing power of Christ.

THIS IS Pivot Point—We are Disciple Makers
Making Christlike disciples is our commitment to Show AND Know Christ through our interaction with others both within Pivot Point and in our daily lives. We engage by learning from the generations around us and in turn we help and encourage others in their relationship with Jesus Christ. This is a commitment first, to Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and in turn, it becomes a commitment to ourselves as we strive to live more like Christ. Then we teach others to live for Him as well. We believe there is extreme importance, even a mandate, to gather together corporately in worship of the one true God. The power of the internet allows us to gather together even when miles apart, whether for study or support. Small, local group gatherings allow us to connect with others in a personal way, breaking bread together, worshiping together, and supporting one another through tough times.
"True worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. " John 4:23-24
"It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up." Ephesians 4: 11-12 (NIV 1984)
Matthew 28: 19-20
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

THIS IS Pivot Point—We are Faithful in Giving
We believe that God has given us a mission field, both where we live and to the farthest reaches of the world. It is our desire to serve God by living a Christlike life on our mission field. That often entails giving of our time and energy as we participate in God’s work all around us. Additionally, we live out our mission by giving to the “storehouse” as it is reflected in Malachi 3:10
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.” Malachi 3:10
A tithe is ten percent of what we have earned. It is God’s portion of the blessings that He has provided to us which He wants us to use to further the kingdom. We believe that God has called us to give our tithes to our local church and our offerings are above and beyond the tithe that we are to give. All of our opportunities to give to our local and worldwide mission field are possible because as believers, we are faithful in giving our tithes to this local storehouse.
Matthew 6:19-21 (MSG) "Don't hoard treasure down here where it gets eaten by moths and corroded by rust or - worse! - stolen by burglars. Stockpile treasure in heaven, where it's safe from moth and rust and burglars.
It's obvious, isn't it? The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being.
