Not A Hoof Left Behind

Sep 13, 2026    Rev. Dr. Ruth King

What happens when obedience comes with conditions?

As the plagues intensify, Pharaoh finally begins negotiating with Moses. Israel can worship—but only on Pharaoh's terms.

Go, but don't go far.

The men can leave, but not the families.

Take the families, but leave the livestock.

Moses refuses every compromise:

“Not a hoof is to be left behind.”

In Not a Hoof Left Behind, Pastor Ruth explores the hail, locusts, and darkness of Exodus 9–10, the Egyptian gods these plagues challenged, and Pharaoh's repeated attempts to offer God partial obedience.

Because we can do the same thing.

We surrender our Sundays but keep our schedules. We trust God with eternity but struggle to trust Him with our family, finances, future, or control.

YOUR PIVOT POINT:

What part of your life are you still trying to leave in Egypt?
